WELCOME I am Ms. Winschel-Miner. I earned my Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education at Southeast Missouri State University in 1983. I came to Miami, Florida and began my teaching career in the fall of 1983 with Dade County Public Schools. I began at Allapattah Elementary now known as Lenora B Smith Elem. I have taught T.E.A.M students at Toussaint. L'Overture and Earlington Heights Elementary. It was at Earlington Heights I became interested in classroom technology and became the coordinator for the school's technology program. In 1996, I went to Laura C. Saunders Elem to head their technology program. In 2010, the need for a classroom teacher prompted my return to a 2nd Grade self- contained ESE classroom. In 2011, I became a part of the 3rd grade team as a Math and Science teacher to prepare students for the FCAT. In 2014, I left the wonderful staff and students at LCS to continue my career at Campbell Drive k8 ELEM. I bring many years of experience, skills and resources to the classroom. These experiences help my students achieve success for a bright future. Over the years I have also served as a cooperating teacher for student interns, mentored beginning teachers, and served as grade chairperson. I enjoy teaching and will hopefully continue to inspire students and co-workers to be their very best for many more years.
